The contract

Candor is not a feature.
It's the contract.

c4ndor exists to prove that privacy-first, fully transparent software can also be the best software. These are the principles we hold ourselves to — in public, so you can too.

  1. 01

Privacy is the default, not a setting.

No trackers, no profiling, no telemetry-by-surprise. Our software collects the minimum it needs to work, and it works fully offline or self-hosted. You should never have to opt out of being watched.

  2. 02

    Transparency is structural.

The source is public and the build is the proof. This very site makes zero third-party requests — open the network panel and check. We would rather you verify than trust.

  3. 03

    Premium means honest, not locked-in.

Open licenses, real documentation, and no dark patterns. Choices are presented with equal weight. Leaving is as easy as arriving, and your data comes with you.

  4. 04

    We publish what we promise.

Warrant canary, security.txt, and audits when they are done — not when they are convenient. If we get something wrong, we say so in the log.

  5. 05

    Accessibility is non-negotiable.

WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first, and motion-respecting. Software that excludes people is not premium, no matter how it looks.

Read the source.
Then hold us to it.
